3.71Cts Green Emerald Loose Gemstone Cushion Cut CD Certified

There is great color and clarity in this emerald.  It has some slight inclusions that are visible in the photo, but that is normal for emerald.  For those of you that are familiar with emeralds you probably know that the inclusions are referred to as the “jardin”.  French for garden. This is a lovely cushion cut that measures L 10.45 mm x W 10.14 mm x H 5.53 mm.  This stone has been oiled.  A common and acceptable practice in emeralds.
Green “gold” for the month of May. $ 29, 780 http://amzn.to/2pLW0aM

Natural Purplish Pink Sapphire., 10.08ct. (U 7)

Another unusual and collectible stone.  Kind of a lavender color, with an unusual orange stripe in the pavilion.  Internally flawless and a huge size for sure at L 13.99 mm x W 11.19 mm x H 7.1 mm.  This stone does show signs of heat treatment, but that is standard practice for corundum.  If it was not heated it would be even more expensive.  No country of origin is mentioned.  $ 32, 660   http://amzn.to/2p2mVA0

Natural Pink Sapphire, 6.08ct. (P2793)

To my eyes this color is raspberry!  This is what I love about sapphire.  The various colors are incredible.  The pavilion is cut with steps to preserve this precious material and the crown is a brilliant cut.  Slight inclusions are visible in the photo, but we have an honest grading of VS1 and VS2.  Very slight.  This stone was heat treated.  L 11.92 mm x W 8.58 mm x H 5.71 mm.       $ 32, 830                http://amzn.to/2q4paDe

Natural Untreated Pinkish Purple Sapphire, 5.03ct. (U3676)

Wow!  I just get so enthused when it comes to color and brightness.  Check out this pinkish purple sapphire.  Purple majesty.  An internally flawless brilliant cushion cut.  Never heat treated.  L 10.82 mm x W 8.87 mm x H 5.32 mm  This one came from Madagascar.  With the high refractive index of corundum you see lots of scintillation (sparkle) that delivers multi colors as light passes through the stone.  Just great.  $ 33, 200     http://amzn.to/2pLmurf

Natural Untreated Cushion Cut Ruby, Burma, 1.70 carats., 1.70ct. (U4972)

Another rare and fine gem from this company.  No heat treatment.  Less than 1% of the world’s sapphire and ruby production comes out of the ground and doesn’t require heat treatment to drive off silk and enhance color.  This is one of them.  Killer color and almost two carats with a VVS2 grading.  Step bottom with brilliant cut top.  A great collector gem fit for a princess.  L 7.21 mm x W 5.55 mm x H 4.37 mm    $ 34, 680  http://amzn.to/2qFdGTw

5.08Cts Green Emerald Loose Gemstone Emerald Cut Pair CD Certified

This pair of matched emeralds would make a beautiful pair of earrings.  Wonderful color and good size at roughly 2.5 carats each.  Inclusions are noticeable in the photo, but that’s emerald when natural.  These stones have been oiled to enhance clarity.  A perfectly honest and acceptable practice in emerald.     L 9.12 mm x W 7.19 mm x 5.97 mm  $ 40, 100       http://amzn.to/2pLaaar

Natural Untreated Yellow Sapphire, 10.96ct. (Y2793)

This is one great yellow sapphire.  The owner has said it’s a Ceylon sapphire.  I do wish they would say Sri Lanka.  Anyway, a whopping 11 carats!  “Make that a super size please” if there was such a thing as a sapphire drive-thru.  Internally flawless.  Never heat treated.  A cut corner radiant square.  (That’s the way I cut.)   L 12.01 mm x W 12.0 mm x H 7.58 mm  It doesn’t get any better.   $ 42, 090   http://amzn.to/2q4AK18

3.72 Carat Green Emerald Loose Gemstone Emerald Cut Gubelin Certified

More green gold for May.  A very respectable size and weight for a good quality emerald.  A certain amount of inclusions that we expect with emerald.  An oiled stone that measures in Length at 10.76 mm x W 9.28 mm x H 5.02 mm.  No origin mentioned.    $ 42, 880      http://amzn.to/2peePRb

Natural Certified Untreated Sapphire., 17.02ct. (Y45)

A gorgeous cushion cut that has a step cut pavilion and a radiant crown.  Measurements on stones of this high quality are always odd.  The rough is so rare the cutter needs to remove as little as possible to preserve the weight of the stone.  A radiant bottom would squander too much of the stone.  This is a huge and very good stone for your collection. No heat treatment.  Internally flawless.  Catch a piece of the sun!  L 16.59 mm x W 13.71 mm x H 8.24 mm   Origin:  Sri Lanka   $ 46, 980    http://amzn.to/2q4N5Co

Natural Untreated Padparadscha Sapphire, 6.01ct. (PA2283)

Padparadscha is in reference to the color of a lotus blossom.   The rarest of the sapphires. This one is big at 6 carats.  An orangey-pink color and also never heat treated.  Origin Sri Lanka.  Clarity grading:  VS1 and VS2.  Brilliant cut crown with a step cut pavillion.  Cushion cut measuring L 10.59 mm x W 8.47 mm x H 7.11 mm A true collector’s gemstone.    $ 55, 890    http://amzn.to/2q56HGq

Natural Ruby, 4.02ct. (U4911)

Killer color combined with good clarity and size.  Vivid color rating and VVS2 clarity rating makes this a strong statement for a ring.  A cushion mixed brilliant cut.  Heat treated.  A fabulous gemstone.  Dimensions:   L 9.43 mm x W 8.13 mm x H 6.16 mm     Note:  Ruby can be far more valuable than diamond. It is demand versus availability.     $ 56, 680      http://amzn.to/2q5d0tN

Natural Untreated Orangish Yellow Sapphire, 20.66ct. (U2170)

This company never ceases to impress me.  A second generation family business.  Take a look at this whopper.  And I don’t mean Burger King.  Almost 21 carats.  A huge stone for a sapphire.  No heat treatment!  A VVS2 clarity grading.  A mixed brilliant cushion.  For a king or a queen, or a passionate collector.    L 17.67 mm x W 12.82 mm x H 10.15 mm     $ 66, 940    http://amzn.to/2qKugAN

Natural Unheated Padparadscha Sapphire., 8.27ct. (PA5)

Now this is really the orange/pink color that padparadscha is known for and it is highly visible in the photo.  What a stone! Over 8 carats!  Oh my.  Incredibly rare because it has never been heat treated and is internally flawless.  A true collector’s gemstone.  L 12.91 mm x W 9.63 mm x H 6.80 mm.  I can tell you right now that many of the famous houses may not have a stone like this.  $ 70, 960              http://amzn.to/2qG3f2f

Natural Untreated Blue Sapphire, 7.06ct. (B5588)

Royal Blue is THE BLUE of sapphire.  Not the dark inky blue that they want to sell you at the local mall.  This gorgeous gem was mined in Madagascar.  It has had NO heat treatment.  It has insignificant inclusions and is graded as a VVS2.  A mixed brilliant cushion cut, which I explained earlier.  I’ll say it again:  “killer color”.  L 11.39 mm x W 9.19 mm x H 7.64 mm.         $ 77, 520    http://amzn.to/2qFNCYo

Natural Untreated Blue Sapphire, 12.17ct. (B772)

I’ll call this one BIG BLUE.  It sure looks like an oval to me, but the owner is calling it a cushion.  Anyway, I’ll overlook this small mistake because he is offering us a fabulous Ceylon sapphire.  NO heat treatment!  VS1 and VS2 clarity.  Over 12 carats!  Just incredible.  Mixed cut.  Step bottom and radiant top.  L 13.03 mm x W 11.21 mm x H 9.68 mm.  A collector’s dream. $ 80, 320             http://amzn.to/2peZ2kO

Natural Ruby, 4.04ct. (U3916)

A vivid color ruby from Mozambique.  Mozambique rubies have a tendency to show some blue in their color.  This is not desirable and therefore they are heat treated to drive off the blue. This beauty was heat treated and the result was excellent.  A mixed brilliant oval with VVS2 clarity and great color.  It screams “Wear me, wear me!”  L 10.25 mm x W 9.01 mm x H 4.98 mm     $ 101, 810  http://amzn.to/2pFRNVR

Natural Untreated Blue Sapphire, 6.61ct. (B4700)

I’ll repeat myself again.  These guys are out to impress.  Another great blue sapphire.                No country of origin mentioned by the owner, but when you see a beautiful woman, do you really care?  The depth of color in this vivid blue sapphire is truly amazing.  I great collector gemstone.  VVS2 clarity. No heat treatment.  A mixed brilliant cushion cut that measures L 11.56 mm x W 9.32 mm x H 6.43 mm  Just superb.  $ 103, 120    http://amzn.to/2p2X1w9

4.03Cts Pigeon Blood Ruby Loose Gemstone Emerald Cut GRS Certified

This stone caught my eye as it appears to be very well cut and eye clean.  It has been heat treated and is a beautiful pigeon blood color.  The owner wants to be contacted for further details.  A little disappointing as I would like to tell you more about it.  The pigeon blood color is famous in the world of rubies.  L 9.69 mm x W 7.51 mm x H 5.79 mm.    Sure looks great from here.  $ 105, 600   http://amzn.to/2qG7CdB

That’s 21 collectible gemstones that have been really exciting to show you.   Enjoy!
